Racing the Storm

If I wasn't exhausted enough from a 12 hour work day and three major assignments,  I couln't end this long October night without some run. Until recently, I've never had the attention span to focus an hour of my time on exercising (or anything for the matter). Earlier this week, I was reading up on health studies and habits and I think I just hit the magical 66th day. I was stuck inside all this week with endless coffee and readings and it was finally time to get some beautiful fall air.

I really love RunKeeper. It uses social network peer pressure to run farther and faster.

You can see that right around mile 5 (at Atwood and Walnut), I decided to extend my run a few more painful miles taking my little venture up to a 10k. Unfortunately, as soon as I hit mile 6, so did a bolt of lighting, immediately followed by a deafening crash. I peaced the fuck out and sprinted a 5.3 minute mile home.

Running in the rain just made it that much better. Kind of like how everythank look better in slow-motion.

Progress report

  • Submitted my paper on the non-profit's budgeting process and its impact on the creative process at 12.05 AM (basically a big "fuck you" Ed Rendell for supporting ATVs and not PGSEs)
  • 2/3 finished with my stats homework. I have to use a cluster in the AM because they don't make MiniTab for the Macintosh.
Too tired to work

yeahh buddy

I have a huge academic crunch to start off this week:

Paper due - Sunday 11.59 PM
Stats homework - Monday 1.30 PM
ODI final - Monday 5.30 PM
Stats midterm - Wednesday 1.30 PM

...so naturally I decide to avoid my intelectual obligations and create a blog.

I'm not sure what I want to accomplish with ...I didn't hear a goddamn thing you just said, but I am hoping to use this blog as a way of communicating my visual practices and thoughts.
